I am particularly interested in macroevolutionary patterns and characters that diagnose large clades of ferns and lycophytes. My field work is centered in Mexico, Colombia, and Papua New Guinea. I am based in the Pringle Herbarium (VT) at the University of Vermont. If you have any ferns that you want identified, please send them to me!
Happy New Year! Making it a goal to start revamping my lycophytes this year. Here’s a new one to cultivation- a buzz saw/whipcord-like black Selaginella sp. from Sarawak. This one is in the S. intermedia group & resembles a black tarantula in threat posture.
A great day doing a comprehensive Asplenium septentrionale count together with @NatResWales staff. Some positive site actions have already been done, and a good discussion on a management plan to look after this very special site. @FernBPS @fossilplants #FernFriday @cofnod
