My field work is centered in Colombia, and Papua New Guinea. I am based at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (E). If you have any ferns that you want identified, please send them to me!
Thanks for weighing in Benjamin. I appreciate your expertise on these plants. I can see why you say D. producta is a better match, but I am not entirely sure. The sori are not as long-stalked as those in D. producta, and I only see a single proliferous bud on the petiole. However, this collection may be a young leaf as you point out in your treatment in Nord. J. Bot. Do you know of indument characters that can help distinguish them?
Here are links to the images of the pressed material at VT. Maybe you could take a look at these and see if you still think D. producta is the best name to apply.
Very cool Michael!
Just like my little fossil!
This seems closer to Dennstaedtia producta than to our Ecuadorian D matthewsii ??

This has been changed to D. producta following comments from B. Øllgaard. Thanks!
