- Observations: Terrestrial on exposed soil bank, leaves to ca. 75 cm., petiole bases densely provided with long orange hairs, sori marginal. Common on soil banks. Most plants sterile.

This member of subsection Muscosa was very abundant in exposed conditions in dry paramo at PNN El Cocuy.
