Polystichum × potteri

by | Jul 7, 2015 | Ferns | 0 comments

This Polystichum is a hybrid between Polystichum braunii and Polystichum acrostichoides, which co-occur in rich, middle-elevation forests in parts of northeastern North America. It was named in honor of Henry Potter, farmer and prominent 20th century amateur pteridologist in Vermont, USA, where this hybrid was first discovered.
