Pleopeltis murorum

by | Mar 1, 2015 | Ferns, New Collections | 2 comments

This is a highly divided Pleopeltis murorum,  verging on P. monosora, an Andean species.  In some cases, the edge between these species is not clear.

Hi Michael, just a petty comment on the epithet: it should not be treated as an adjective, – it is the genitive plural of murus (a wall) and so means “of the walls” and therefore should not be declined.
    So I recommend Plepeltis murorum.
    Best,
    Benjamin

Thanks for pointing that out Benjamin, I agree and will update the epithet.
