Botrychium dusenii

I came across this young Botrychium in the heart of the Reserva Nacional Lago Jeinemeni, just south of Chile Chico in the Aysen region of Chile. There were a handful of them growing on the shores on Lago Verde, getting their start as the austral summer arrived.

Hello! This is a great! Did you make an herbarium specimen or take material for DNA study?

Unfortunatley I did not. I was on a study abroad trip in Patagonia, and not prepared at all for collecting. Finding this plant was very exciting and I wish I could have collected better data!
