Salpichlaena thalassica

by | Dec 18, 2014 | Ferns, New Collections | 0 comments

Salpichlaena thalassica differs from S. volubilis by its more blue-green lamina and longer-stalked basal fertile segments. It tends to occur at higher elevations. This particular plant has pinnate-pinnatifid fertile fronds. This is not typical and may be a teratological form.
