A naturally occurring hybrid between Oreogrammitis longiceps and O. sumatrana

This is a relatively commonly occurring hybrid between Oreogrammitis longiceps and O. sumatrana. It can be easily recognized by the irregular leaf margin that is the result of hybridization between the 1-pinnate O. longiceps and the simple leaved O. sumatrana. When it was originally described by Barbara Parris, the parent species were being treated in different genera and this hybrid helped to raise the question of their circumscription.

Parris, B. S. (1984). Another intergeneric hybrid in Grammitidaceae: Ctenopteris longiceps X Grammitis sumatrana. Fern Gaz.(UK), 12(6), 337-340.
