Adiatnum aneitense is unusual within the genus for being epiphytic. At Mt. Gohavisuka, were I found this plant, they were primarily growing on the root mantles of tree ferns.
Jamesonia goudotii
Jameonsia goudotii is a robust species found in páramo and puna vegetation from Colombia to Bolivia. Raised cells in the upper epidermis of the lamina help to distinguish it.
And this goes to those who still cannot believe in the close relationship between Adiantum and other vittarioid ferns…Great photos of this super cool species. I loved that you also found the gametophytes.
