Phlegmariurus tetrastichoides

Phlegmariurus tetrastichoides (A.R.Field & Bostock) A.R.Field & Bostock is a species with distinctly four-sided shoots with four longitudinal ranks of keeled lycophylls and sporophylls. It occurs in Queensland, Australia and in New Caledonia, an is closely related to Phlegmariurus tetrasticha from Asia and Papua. It was known in Australia for many years as Phlegmariurus proliferus which is a similar species from Asia and Oceania but is not distinctly four sided with keeled lycophylls.
