This species was found as a pendent epiphyte, growing on the same tree as Matos et al. 2468 (Phlegmariurus taxifolius). According to Mickel & Beitel (1988), “narrowed leaf bases and leaves not in pseudowhorls distinguish this species from slender specimens of the [taxonomically difficult] Lycopodium taxifolium alliance.”
- P. linifolius – forking stem
- P. linifolius – proximal fork
- P. linifolius – fertile apices
- P. linifolius – apex detail
A really nice plant! This looks to be a complicated species group, too.
Thanks for sharing, Fernando
Yes, this seems to be another one of those groups.
I am glad you liked the lycopod pictures. I took them thinking of you.
We finally have this species in cultivation!
