This blechnoid fern is endemic to the Pan-Himalayas and Taiwan. It has a long-creeping rhizome and is epiphytic.

    In Taiwan, Blechnum melanopus is never epiphytic, always terrestrial (floor and slopes of broadleaf and mixed forests).

    any one of you have sample to send? Is the only species that is missing in my phylogeny, and it´s importat to solve the problem abou the genus Blechnum ou Blechnopsis.
