Anemia gardneri is another narrow endemic species from the inselbergs of southeastern Brazil. It can be easily recognized by its coriaceous leaves with few pairs of orbiculate lateral pinnae, and apex subconform.

As far as I know, this species is limited to the mountains of Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro.
