Ascogrammitis anfractuosa

by | Dec 29, 2013 | Ferns, New Collections | 0 comments

Ascogrammitis anfractuosa is unique among its congeners by being widespread in tropical America. That said, many regional variants can be distinguished which might eventually be proven to warrant status as different species. This collection has small fronds and hydathodes with conspicuous cretaceous deposits; characters common to other specimens from the Chocó region.
