These images were taken in the mountains of Santa Catarina but there is also a similar species that is common in coastal forests of this region.

I am an amateur botanist working on the fern and lycophyte flora of Santa Catarina Island, in southern Brazil. I also study the taxonomy of the Brazil nut family (Lecythidaceae).
