I am particularly interested in macroevolutionary patterns and characters that diagnose large clades of ferns and lycophytes. My field work is centered in Mexico, Colombia, and Papua New Guinea. I am based in the Pringle Herbarium (VT) at the University of Vermont. If you have any ferns that you want identified, please send them to me!

For #fernfriday one of my favourite ferns is cyathea medularis - the new fronds always fascinate me

A great day doing a comprehensive Asplenium septentrionale count together with @NatResWales staff. Some positive site actions have already been done, and a good discussion on a management plan to look after this very special site. @FernBPS @fossilplants #FernFriday @cofnod
