I am an amateur botanist working on the fern and lycophyte florulas of Santa Catarina Island and the Furnas River Reserve, in southern Brazil.

The fleshy pale green leaves and proliferous roots help to diagnose Asplenium auriculatum. This plant was collected growing on small trees along a stream in Parque Nacional Naturaleza Las Orquideas in Antioquia, Colombia.
