This beautiful fern was found in the understory of a temperate rainforest in the heart of Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Towering above its finely divided, ~1 meter long fronds were oldgrowth Nothofagus and Podocarpus trees draped in moss and Hymenophyllum species....

Diplazium tomentosum

Diplazium tomentosum is usually with a blue-green metallic sheen on the lamina. The auriculate pinnea and hairy rachis and costa characterize this species.
